En el año 1969, el colectivo The Architects' Resistance, formado por estudiantes de las universidades de Yale, Columbia, y el Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), publicó un manifiesto llamado Architecture: Whom Does It Serve? (Arquitectura: ¿A quién sirve?)
